The political structures of the European Union are complex. Prof. Axt’s course “European Institutions”, which starts today, teaches exactly how they work and what they look like.
Prof. Dr. Heinz Jürgen Axt was head of the Chair of European Integration and European Policy. He also was holder of the Jean Monnet Chair and heads the Jean Monet Research Group at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Prof. Axt has been a visiting professor at the EIABM for over 20 years. His main research interests include European integration, EU enlargement, EU structural policy and South-East Europe, Eastern Mediterranean Sea (Greece, Turkey, Cyprus), South Europe.
